Who We Are
Our Mission
Catch the Wave of Hope exists to prevent the sexual exploitation of children - both online and in person - through education, awareness, and community action. We believe that prevention is the most powerful tool we have to protect children and create safer communities.
We are committed to equipping parents, educators, youth-serving professionals, and community members with the knowledge, tools, and training they need to recognize the warning signs of exploitation and take proactive steps toward prevention.
What we do
We empower families and protect children by:
- Offering personalized trainings and workshops on online safety, sextortion, and human trafficking
- Providing free tools and digital resources to help parents monitor and protect their child’s online activity
- Bringing Florida Board of Education-approved curriculum into schools through our partnership with the Monique Burr Foundation
- Working closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement to support prevention efforts and connect victims to healing resources
Our team also educates caregivers about the risks children face online - from predators posing as peers to the grooming tactics that exploit trust, technology, and secrecy. We believe that every adult has a role to play in keeping children safe.
Our Values
Prevention First
We believe education and early intervention are key to ending child exploitation.
Empowering Conversations
We encourage honest, age-appropriate conversations that build awareness and trust.
Community Collaboration
We partner with law enforcement, educators, and other nonprofits to amplify impact.
Compassion in Action
We honor and support survivors by advocating for healing and resilience.
