Dave Cortes is a Registered Nurse and currently serves as an ASAP (Emergency Department) analyst at Cleveland Clinic Martin Health for the Emergency departments in four locations. Dave graduated from ECPI University in Newport News Virginia, with his Associates Degree in registered nursing and is EPIC Certified in, Electronic Health Record, ASAP Application. He currently resides in Port Saint Lucie.
Dave is able to demonstrate strong organizational skills and a strong attention to detail at Cleveland Clinic Martin Health System, leads technology related projects with integrated teams. He works successfully with a diverse group of constituents including senior and midlevel leadership, physicians, and a wide range of end users.
Dave also serves in our nations, United States Navy and United Stated Marine Corps combat teams, as a Fleet Marine Force, (FMF) Hospital Corpsman First Class, with over 20 years of service, with OCONUS deployments to different regions in and around Iraq as well as the Horn of Africa and CONUS deployments throughout the United States.
In addition to his professional experience, Dave strongly believes in being a part of the community where he is a member of the disaster preparedness team with Martin County and Cleveland Clinic Martin Health and sits on the board of Catch the Wave of Hope, a nonprofit organization that is working to end human trafficking. Dave is also instrumental with Cleveland Clinic Martin Health’s Human trafficking team that educates the nursing staff on encountering the victims of Human Trafficking as they may enter the healthcare facilities. Dave also is a medical and VA resource for veterans that have ended or separated from their military service.
